What methods are available to access email?
Email access is available using IMAP, POP, and Webmail. Activesync is also available for mobile mail clients that support it for PUSH notifications.
What are the differences between IMAP and POP?
The POP Protocol treats email in your account as you would an actual mailbox outside your front door. Messages are sent to that box, and your client receives, and later removes those messages from the inbox. IMAP works by always keeping all your mail stored on the server, and Webmail uses IMAP to access your account.
Can a HostUpon Business Email plan be converted to a full hosting account?
Yes! If you later find you need to set up a website on your domain, It is possible to upgrade your hosting plan to a full hosting account and keep all the existing features you already have in your email services.
What are the limits for email delivery?
These plans allow the delivery of any message up to 50Mb in size. There are also limits placed on the total volume of email sent from your domain (200 recipients per hour) to help control SPAM activties.
Can email messages be migrated from other mail providers?
Yes, although the techniques to do so vary depending on what kind of email hosting you were using before you switched to HostUpon Business Email. Contact support for assistance migrating your accounts and messages.
Does a HostUpon Business Email package support Calendars and Contacts?
alendar and Contact support is integrated into Webmail, and it's also possible to sync these with mail clients using CalDAV and CardDAV.
